Meeting with National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan

On August 9, 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by Office of International Relations  held a meeting with a delegation from National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan. The delegation was led by Prof.Her-Terng Yau,Director of Advanced Institute of Manufacturing for High-tech Innovations, Mechanical Engineering Department and included Prof.Yong-Song Chen, Mechanical Engineering Department  Asst.Prof.Van-Linh Nguyen,  Computer Science and Information Engineering Department and Ms.Hsin-Tien Ho,  Project coordinator. The meeting was honored by the presence of Asst.Prof.Dr.Anon Numin, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Research, and Academic Services. Also in attendance were Asst. Prof. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, Dr. Nopadon Maneetien, Director of College of Integrated Science and Technology, faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, and coordinators of Office of International Relations. The meeting took place at the Sompor Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, President's Office Building, RMUTL.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss potential collaboration between RMUTL and AIM-HI (Advanced Institute of Manufacturing for High-tech Innovations), which is part of the Faculty of Engineering at National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan. AIM-HI expressed its interest in student and faculty exchanges in the field of Mechanical Engineering, specifically in areas such as Machine Tools, Smart Manufacturing, Machine Learning, and Low Carbon Machining. Additionally, they introduced the International Master's Program in Smart Manufacturing, which offers scholarships and has collaborations with several renowned Taiwanese industries. They also presented the Taiwan Experience Education Program, a short-term exchange program lasting 2-6 months, designed to provide students with practical experience. The details of this program are open to mutual adjustment.

In the afternoon, the CCU delegation traveled to meet with the administration and faculty members of College of Integrated Science and Technology at RMUTL in Doi Saket District. They also visited the engineering preparatory courses' laboratories to observe the students' learning process.
