Meeting with Guizhou Light Industry Technical College, China

On May 15, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), through the Faculty of Engineering and the Office of International Relations, Office of the President, hosted a meeting with representatives from Guizhou Light Industry Technical College (GLITC), People's Republic of China, at the Kasalong meeting room, 2nd floor, Office of the President building.

The meeting was honored by the presence of Dr.Akksatcha Dungsupasin , Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, who presided over the session. He was joined by Assoc. Prof. Teerasak Uratchananon, Vice President for Council Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watcharin Sitthicharoen, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, faculty members and staff from the Faculty of Engineering, as well as staff from the Office of International Relations.

The delegation from GLITC included:

1. Ms. Yang Liyan, Dean of Waikato International College

2. Ms. Zou Yan, Deputy Head of the Department of Light Industry and Chemical Engineering

3. Mr. Wang Zhengcai, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Engineering

4. Mr. Yang Xueyi, Section Chief of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

5. Ms. Du Jing, Program Leader of Art and Design, Department of Art and Design

During the meeting, both parties discussed future academic collaboration in various aspects, including staff development, the establishment of joint undergraduate programs, student and staff exchange, and the organization of joint academic activities.

In addition, the GLITC representatives delivered a special lecture on “Big Data” and “Electric Vehicle” to 15 engineering students from RMUTL, offering valuable insights into emerging trends in industrial technology.

This meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions and provides opportunities for students and staff to gain international exposure and experience through collaborative learning and exchange.
