RMUTL Students and Lecturers Join The 1st International Challenge Workshop at RMUTT

On September 21, 2026, six student representatives from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), accompanied by lecturers Mingkwan Kanjina and Tulaya Daroon, participated in The 1st International Challenge Workshop, held from September 21–28, 2026, at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Pathum Thani Province.

The workshop was organized under the project “Learning for Sustainable Future – Higher Education for Green Transition in Southeast Asia (GreenEdAsia)”, with support from the European Union Erasmus+ Programme.

The first day of the workshop, September 21, began with a welcome ceremony for students, lecturers, and participants from various universities. The participants then visited several important facilities and learning spaces at RMUTT, including the Lotus Museum, RMUTT Hall of Fame, University Library, Mass Communication Building, and Airplane Workshop. The visits provided an opportunity for participants to learn more about the host university and its learning environments.

In the afternoon, participants learned about Design-Based Education (DBE), a learning approach that emphasizes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and design processes to address problems and develop creative solutions or innovations. The participants also took part in a Gallery Walk, featuring projects by RMUTT students who transformed waste and discarded materials into useful and creative products through recycling and upcycling. The showcased products included shoe polishers made from mangosteen peels, keychains made from aluminum cans and bottle caps, and bracelets made from bottle caps. These projects demonstrated how creativity can be combined with environmental awareness and sustainability.

In the evening, a welcome reception was held for students from participating universities. The event provided an opportunity for students to build friendships, get to know one another, exchange experiences, and learn about different cultures in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Participation in the workshop provided RMUTL students with valuable opportunities to gain hands-on learning experiences, develop creative thinking and teamwork skills, and exchange knowledge and experiences with students and lecturers from different universities. It also allowed them to explore concepts related to sustainable development and the transition toward a greener society, which they can further apply to their studies and everyday lives.
