RMUTL Holds Orientation for Students in the Thailand–China Joint Education Program at NJITT, China

On September 23, 2026, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by the Office of International Relations, organized an orientation and pre-departure preparation session for 20 students enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Modern Automotive Engineering (Continuing Program) under the Thailand–China Joint Education Program. The students are scheduled to continue their studies at Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology (NJITT), People’s Republic of China, in October 2026 to continue their studies for a period of 16 months. The orientation was held at the Kasalong Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Administration Building, RMUTL.

The session was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Orasa Sirisakamon, lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering, Ms. Supharat Kongrasri, Thailand Project Manager, Beijing Huatec Information Technology and  Ms.Ausadaporn Kuntha from OIR. They provided guidance and shared useful information to help students prepare for their upcoming study experience in China.

The orientation focused on preparing students for their journey and life in China, including their studies, daily life, and adaptation to a new environment. The session covered practical information on pre-departure preparation, essential items to prepare for living abroad, appropriate behavior in a different cultural environment, as well as tips for taking care of themselves and managing their daily lives throughout the program.

In addition, students who had previously participated in the program and gained experience studying and taking part in exchange activities in China shared their first-hand experiences with the incoming students. Their sharing covered pre-departure preparation, daily life, studying, adapting to Chinese society and culture, as well as practical tips and useful lessons learned from their own experiences. This provided the students with a clearer picture of what to expect and helped them better prepare for their upcoming journey.

The orientation served as an important step in preparing students for their international learning experience. It aimed to equip them with the knowledge, understanding, and confidence needed to adapt to a new environment and engage effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds. The program also provides students with valuable opportunities to develop international skills and experiences, supporting their growth as capable graduates with a broader global perspective.
