On August 19, 2026, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by the Office of International Relations, organized a meeting to review the implementation of international collaborations with overseas institutions. The meeting was held at the Kasalong Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Office of the President Building, RMUTL. The meeting was chaired by Associate Professor Dr.Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, with the participation of university administrators, international relations coordinators from all faculties and colleges, and staff members of the Office of International Relations.
The meeting aimed to review and evaluate the implementation of international collaborations under the Strategic Framework for Cooperation with Overseas Educational Institutions and Organizations for Fiscal Year 2026. International relations coordinators from each faculty and college were given an opportunity to present their achievements and activities related to international collaboration, including student and staff exchanges, joint academic and research activities, curriculum development, international learning activities, and other initiatives carried out in collaboration with overseas partner institutions.
In addition, the participants presented and exchanged views on the implementation plan for Fiscal Year 2027 under the Strategic Framework for Cooperation with Overseas Educational Institutions and Organizations. The discussion focused on establishing directions that align with the university’s strategic priorities and promoting collaborations that can lead to tangible activities and outcomes, particularly those with the potential to expand into student and staff exchanges, joint research, curriculum development, and the establishment of international academic networks.
During the meeting, the International Relations Office also presented a summary of information from the university’s International Collaboration Information Database System. The system is designed to enable faculties and colleges to systematically monitor the status and outcomes of their collaborations with overseas partner institutions, while also providing useful data for planning and developing future international activities. This will contribute to more effective management of the university’s international partnerships and ensure greater alignment in the implementation of international collaboration across the university.
Furthermore, the International Relations Office provided clarification on the guidelines and procedures for Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) to ensure a common understanding and standardized practices in the preparation, review, implementation, and monitoring of activities under MOUs. The meeting also covered the procedures for receiving international students, including coordination processes, document preparation, admission procedures, and relevant coordination with concerned units, with the aim of ensuring that the university’s international student admission process is efficient and conducted in accordance with established guidelines.
The meeting served as an important mechanism for connecting the international relations activities of all faculties and colleges with the university’s strategic direction. It emphasized the importance of transforming international partnerships into concrete and measurable outcomes, while creating opportunities to develop new forms of collaboration that contribute to student and staff development, teaching and learning, and international research.
RMUTL continues to place strong emphasis on the development of its international partnership network, with a commitment to moving beyond the establishment of formal agreements toward “Active and Impactful Partnerships.” Through this approach, the university aims to create greater educational and professional opportunities for students and staff while strengthening RMUTL’s capacity to become a higher education institution with a strong, dynamic, and sustainable international network.
