Meeting with Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing, Haoxiangni Health Food Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Institute of Food Technology

On August 10, 2026, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by the Office of International Relations, held a meeting with representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing, Haoxiangni Health Food Co., Ltd., and Zhengzhou Institute of Food Technology, People’s Republic of China. The meeting was held at the Kasalong Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Office of the President Building, RMUTL, with the aim of exchanging information and discussing potential areas of collaboration in education, research, food technology, and agricultural product processing.

The Chinese delegation comprised Ms. Pasupha Chinvarasopach, Minister-Counsellor for Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing; Mrs. Lei Xia, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Zhengzhou Institute of Food Technology; Mr. Yao Yuan, Director of International Industry Affairs, Haoxiangni Health Food Co., Ltd.; Ms. Lou Bailu, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange; Ms. Wang Yueting, Head of International Administration; Ms. Bi Jiamin, Head of International Student and Faculty Affairs, who also served as the Chinese–Thai interpreter; and Mr. Lei Rui, accompanying delegate.

The meeting was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Thitibhorn Phanthathachang, Assistant to the President of RMUTL, with faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology, College of Integrated Science and Technology, and staff from the Office of International Relations also in attendance.

During the meeting, Haoxiangni Health Food Co., Ltd. introduced its expertise in the cultivation, processing, and development of jujube-based products, including the transformation of jujubes into a wide range of food and health products. The company also highlighted its commitment to connecting industrial expertise with education and research through the establishment of the Zhengzhou Institute of Food Technology within its factory, providing a platform for education, research, and the development of food technologies and innovations closely connected to real-world production processes.

In addition, the Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in RMUTL’s agricultural products and produce, particularly their potential for further development through advanced processing technologies and the creation of value-added food and health products. This interest presents an important opportunity to leverage the University’s agricultural expertise and products and further connect them with industrial applications and international markets.

The meeting also focused on potential collaboration among universities, educational institutions, and the industrial sector, particularly in food technology, agricultural product processing, food and health product development, food research and innovation, as well as the exchange of knowledge, technologies, personnel, and students. These collaborations aim to promote hands-on learning experiences and facilitate the practical application of research and innovation in the industrial sector.

The meeting marked another important step in strengthening Thailand–China collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors through the exchange of knowledge and expertise in food technology and agricultural product processing. It also opened opportunities to develop and add value to Thailand’s agricultural products through technology and innovation, with the goal of advancing them into high-value food products with practical applications and creating opportunities for sustainable international collaboration.
