Meeting with NHU, Taiwan

On 17 July 2026, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by the Office of International Relations held a meeting with representatives from Nanhua University (NHU), Taiwan. The NHU delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Ming-che Lu, Department of Applied Sociology and Sub-investigator of the USR Project; Prof. Jun-Hong Lin, Dean of the Center for General Education; and Ms. Chen Hsin, USR Project Assistant. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, and attended by relevant faculty members and staff from the Office of International Relations at Meeting Room 4, Library Building, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna.

The meeting focused on preparations for the Design Thinking x Slow Movement Student Exchange Program, which will be held at Nanhua University (NHU) from 3–16 November 2026. As part of this initiative, NHU has awarded scholarships to nine RMUTL students to participate in the exchange program, which emphasizes design thinking, community-based learning, and sustainable development.

In addition, both institutions discussed plans for the 2027 student exchange program to further expand international learning opportunities for students. The meeting also explored opportunities for strengthening research collaboration through joint academic publications, with the aim of enhancing academic excellence and reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the two universities.

The meeting reflected the shared commitment of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna and Nanhua University to advancing international academic cooperation and student mobility. Through sustained collaboration, both institutions seek to enhance the capabilities of students and staff, generate shared knowledge, and contribute to the sustainable development of the universities, local communities, and society as a whole.
