On 25–26 June 2026, the Office of International Relations of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) organized a Thai Language and Culture Course for 37 exchange students from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Vietnam. The students are participating in an academic exchange program between UEH and RMUTL, hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, from 23 June to 3 July 2026.

The course was held at the Slope Classroom, 3rd Floor, Civil Engineering Building 4, RMUTL. It was designed to provide participants with fundamental Thai language skills and a deeper understanding of Thai culture, enabling them to adapt confidently to daily life during their stay in Thailand. The program also aimed to promote intercultural learning through interactive and hands-on activities.

The course covered a variety of practical topics, including Basic Thai Greetings, Do's and Don'ts in Thailand, Thai Numbers, Thai Food, and Shopping. Throughout the sessions, students practiced communicating in Thai in everyday situations while learning about Thai etiquette, customs, and ways of life through engaging classroom activities and educational games that created a lively and enjoyable learning environment.

The course was conducted by Ms. Kaewsai Lohpetch and Ms. Pornsawan Sombatnan, Coordinator from the Office of International Relations, RMUTL. As instructors, they shared practical knowledge of the Thai language and culture while encouraging active participation through interactive learning activities and real-life practice.

The Thai Language and Culture Course plays an important role in preparing international exchange students for both academic and everyday life in Thailand. Beyond developing practical language and cultural competencies, the program fosters mutual understanding, friendship, and intercultural appreciation between students from both institutions. It also reflects RMUTL's ongoing commitment to strengthening international partnerships, promoting student mobility, and advancing sustainable academic collaboration and cross-cultural exchange for the future.
