On 17 November 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by Office of International Relations, held a meeting with representatives from the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. Dr. Pongsakorn Ngamsom, as well as representatives from the Taiwan Education Center in Thailand, including Ms. Apiporn Chamnarnpaisan (Bangkok) and Ms. Duanphen Sae-Her (Chiang Mai).The session was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, who presided over the meeting. Administrators from various faculties and colleges, together with staff members from the Office of International Relations, also participated. The meeting took place at Sompor Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Office of the President Building, RMUTL.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Chinese Language Teacher Deployment Program, which sends qualified Chinese language teachers and lecturers from Taiwan to educational institutions in Thailand under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. The representatives presented details on the application and recruitment process, selection criteria, as well as budget considerations for hiring. This program plays an important role in enhancing the quality of Chinese language education in Thailand. To date, more than 13 Thai institutions have participated in the program, with a total of 18 Chinese language teachers deployed nationwide.
RMUTL expressed strong interest in becoming a partner institution in this program, aiming to strengthen Chinese language competencies among students, support global employability, and expand long-term academic collaboration with Taiwan. During the meeting, both parties discussed in detail the recruitment procedures, employment conditions, and potential frameworks for future cooperation.
