Meeting with University of Victoria, Canada

On November 4, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by the Office of International Relations, hosted a meeting with Ms. Rena Fowler from the University of Victoria (UVic), Canada, together with Ms. Nitchawan Sriviboone from the Embassy of Canada to Thailand, and Mr. Nuttapon Watanajarukij from The Guidance Edu Travel Co., Ltd.

The meeting was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teerasak Urajananon, Vice President of RMUTL, and attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, faculty representatives from all RMUTL faculties and the College of Integrated Science and Technology, as well as staff members from the Office of International Relations. The meeting took place at Sompoa Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, RMUTL Administration Building.

During the meeting, the University of Victoria was introduced as one of Canada’s leading public universities, located in Victoria, British Columbia. UVic is renowned for its international research excellence, innovative teaching approaches, and strong focus on experiential learning. The university is highly recognized in various academic disciplines, including Humanities, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and International Studies.

The discussion focused on exploring potential academic collaborations between RMUTL and UVic, particularly the development of an English language enhancement program for RMUTL faculty members. This initiative aims to strengthen teaching capacity for international programs and English-medium instruction, thereby aligning RMUTL’s academic quality with international standards.

This meeting reflects RMUTL’s strong commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting quality education and fostering international academic partnerships that enhance human resource development and contribute to sustainable global collaboration.
