Meeting with TU Dortmund, Germany

On March 14, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, by Office of International Relations, held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Thomas Schroder, UNESCO Chair of TVET and Competence Development for the Future of Work from TU Dortmund, Germany. The meeting was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Anon NamIn, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Research, and Academic Services, alongside Asst. Prof. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, faculty members, and relevant personnel at the Sompor Conference Room, Office of the President, RMUTL, Chiang Mai.

During the meeting, the progress of joint research carried out by both universities since 2019 under the MOU, which has already been signed twice, was reported. Discussions were held on future cooperation, especially in the development of a Doctoral program in collaboration with 9 Rajamangala Universities. RMUTL faculty members will have the opportunity to study the Ph.D. program at TU Dortmund and may also act as co-advisors for students in the program. Additionally, TU Dortmund may send faculty members to teach in the Ph.D. program at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna.

This meeting marks an important step in strengthening the collaboration between the two universities to develop advanced knowledge and higher education in the future, both in research and the development of high-quality curricula.
