Meeting with Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), China

On Thursday, February 20, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL),by Office of International Relations , held a joint meeting with representatives from Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), People's Republic of China. The delegation was led by Prof. Zhang Bing, Director, Division of International Cooperation, and included key executives: Prof. Xu Tianrui, Dean, Graduate School; Prof. Zhang Minghu, Deputy Director, General Affairs Management Division, Yunnan Institute for Advanced Studies; Prof. Yang Ye, Vice Dean, Faculty of Life Science and Technology; Prof. Liu Lingyi, Head, International Student Admissions Office, School of International Education; and Prof. Gao Yuan, Head, Information Center, School of International Education.

The meeting was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Pisit Wimonthanasit, Vice President for Planning, Policy, and Strategy, who served as the chair. Also in attendance were Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, along with executives from the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology, and the Faculty of Business Administration and Liberal Arts, as well as faculty members and related personnel. The meeting took place at the Sompho Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Office of the President Building, RMUTL, Chiang Mai.

During the meeting, both parties discussed academic collaboration, with a focus on student and faculty exchange programs, as well as joint research projects between KUST and RMUTL's Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology. This meeting marked a significant step in strengthening the partnership between the two universities, enhancing education, research, and the academic potential of faculty and students on an international scale. The collaboration is expected to bring mutual benefits and pave the way for future joint projects between the institutions.
