Meeting with Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology (NJITT), China

On June 25, 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by Office of International Relations and Faculty of Engineering, held a meeting with a delegation from Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology (NJITT) from the People's Republic of China. The delegation was led by Mr. Zhang Yi, Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr. Kang Jianjun, Head of the Organization Department, Mr. Wu Zhaoming, Dean of Electronic Information Engineering, Mr. Liu Yang, Dean of Automotive Engineering School, Mr. Ma Yiyang, Teacher of Automotive Engineering School, along with representatives from Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co., Ltd., Mr. Zhang Zhong, Deputy General Manager of HUATEC, and Ms. Lao Shasha, Director of ASEAN Business Strategy Thailand HUATEC.

The meeting was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Uthen Kamnan, Acting President of RMUTL, who chaired the meeting, along with Assistant Professor Pisit Wimonthanisit, Vice President for Planning, Policy, and Strategy, Mr.Akkajatcha Duangsuppasinja, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, Assistant Professor Dr. Wannaporn Teekeng, Assistant Professor Dr. Thitiporn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, and Assistant Professor Surasak Yusawat, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as faculty members and relevant personnel. The meeting was held in Room 207, Building C3, at RMUTL, Doi Saket, Chiang Mai.

This meeting focused on discussing future collaboration development and reporting on the cooperation results between NJITT and RMUTL, coordinated by HUATEC. The cooperation has included the development of electric vehicle technology, personnel exchanges between institutions, short-term training courses, and long-term vocational certificate programs in the field of electric vehicles. Successful collaboration activities include:

1. A short-term training course on modern automotive technology, with 17 faculty members and students completing the course on June 14, 2024.
2. The 2023 Higher Vocational Certificate Program, with 9 students set to graduate.
3. The 2024 Higher Vocational Certificate Program, with 16 students interested in joining.
4. Collaboration projects through Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology with Changan Automobile Company for internships, training, and future employment opportunities for RMUTL students.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Modern Automotive Engineering Laboratory, Electronics Engineering and Automatic Control Systems Laboratory at the Faculty of Engineering,Doi Saket and the Jingshi Institute Center.
