Meeting on MOU Collaboration with INTACT BASE TAIWAN–THAILAND, Chiang Mai Office

On 18 June 2026, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by Office of International Relations, organized a meeting to discuss the framework for establishing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in collaboration with INTACT BASE TAIWAN–THAILAND. The meeting was held at Rajarat Meeting Room, Faculty of Business Administration and Liberal Arts, RMUTL.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Thanaphon Thoopthianrat, Director of INTACT BASE TAIWAN–THAILAND, Chiang Mai Office, together with Ms. Nida Porintrakul, Head of Foreign Affairs Division, Office of International Relations, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University , and Ms. Jiraporn Chaimongkol, Officer of INTACT BASE TAIWAN–THAILAND, Chiang Mai Office.

The session was presided over by Associate Professor Wichet Thipprasert, Acting President of RMUTL. Also in attendance were Assistant Professor Somkiat Wongpanich, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Research and Academic Services; Associate Professor Dr. Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President; along with university executives, faculty members from all faculties and colleges, and staff from the Office of International Relations.

During the meeting, Mr. Thanaphon provided a comprehensive overview of the roles and missions of INTACT BASE TAIWAN–THAILAND, which include promoting scholarship opportunities, offering academic consultation, and preparing students in terms of language proficiency for further studies in Taiwan. He also presented detailed information on scholarships in Taiwan and addressed inquiries from faculty members regarding educational opportunities and support mechanisms for Thai students pursuing studies abroad.

Furthermore, the meeting discussed the establishment of MOUs with three partner institutions in Taiwan under INTACT BASE TAIWAN–THAILAND, namely National Pingtung University, National Sun Yat-sen University, and Chaoyang University of Technology. These collaborations are expected to be formalized in the near future, with a primary focus on student exchange programs.

In addition, RMUTL students who apply to study at these partner institutions will be given priority consideration for scholarships. This initiative aims to expand international educational opportunities and enhance students’ potential to thrive on a global stage sustainably.
