December 16-18, 2024: Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), by Office of International Relations, hosted representatives from Singapore Polytechnic (SP), including Mr. Wong Yat Keong, Ms. Low Kang Min, and Mr. Justin Lee Juinn Kang, who serve as LeX Facilitators.
The purpose of this event was to plan and prepare for the Learning Express (LeX) 2025 workshop, scheduled to take place from March 24 to April 4, 2025. The visit also included exploratory trips to three target communities in collaboration with RMUTL’s LeX Facilitators. The selected communities and their respective project focuses are as follows:
Baan Ton Haen Noi Community, San Pa Tong District, Chiang Mai Province
Topic: Slow Tourism at Baan Ton Haen Noi
Choeng Doi Community, Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai Province
Topic: Cotton Dyeing Improvement at Pha Fai Choeng Doi
Baan Don Luang Community, Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province
Topic: Sustainable Economic Growth or Cultural Tourism Destination Development for Baan Don Luang
This program is to promote activities among students from both institutions in interdisciplinary teams to gain experience in creating social innovation for communities. This is achieved by integrating design thinking skills with teamwork, problem-solving, and English communication in a multicultural context. Additionally, the initiative aims to foster collaboration and innovation between institutions and local communities to support sustainable development and cultural enrichment.
