RMUTL Discusses Academic Collaboration with National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan

On 1 September 2026, the Office of International Relations of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) hosted a meeting with National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan, to discuss opportunities for academic collaboration and international exchange. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Siraprapa Chainetr, Vice President for Council Affairs and Quality System Development, and attended by Associate Professor Thitibhorn Phantachang, Assistant to the President, along with lecturers and staff members from the International Relations Office. The meeting was held at the Khae Farang Meeting Room, 6th Floor, Academic Building, RMUTL.

The delegation from National Chung Cheng University (CCU) consisted of:

  1. Prof. Yong-Song Chen, Dean, Department of Mechanical Engineering
  2. Prof. Hsin-Hui Chen, Division Chief, Center of Language Study
  3. Prof. Chun-Ping Jen, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering
  4. Ms. Ya-Chi Tsai, Senior Project Manager, Office of International Affairs (OIA)
  5. Ms. Ting-Hsuan Lee, Administrative Assistant

The meeting provided an important opportunity for both institutions to exchange information and explore potential areas of collaboration in the future. The CCU delegation introduced the university, its academic programs and educational approaches, as well as scholarship opportunities for international students and joint academic programs, which could provide RMUTL students with opportunities to gain international learning experiences.

In addition, both sides exchanged views and discussed the possibility of implementing various collaborative activities, including student and staff exchanges, language development, academic activities, teaching and learning, and research collaboration, particularly in Mechanical Engineering and related fields. These discussions aim to identify areas of mutual interest and develop practical opportunities for students and academic staff from both institutions.

The meeting reflects RMUTL’s continued commitment to strengthening and expanding its international academic network. Through collaboration with leading overseas institutions, RMUTL seeks to create greater opportunities for students and staff to enhance their knowledge and skills, broaden their academic perspectives, and gain valuable intercultural experiences in an international environment. Such collaboration will contribute to improving the quality of education and equipping learners with essential skills for the future.
